Prise came to live with our client Sandra in the summer of 2019 after her human passed away. What is known about her history is that she was a lower level dressage mount, had somehow dislocated her hip at one point and vet and trainer were able to pop it back in. They didn’t think she would make it, she was on bute when she arrived but Sandra switched her to natural products and gave her Craniosacral treatments. She shows no sign of discomfort in her hip now.
We don’t have any details of her previous hoof health history but we are fairly certain she foundered in the past. She had very dished, flared hooves, large ripples in the hoof walls, a thin, almost convex sole, abscessing and white line disease. We started trimming Prise in August 2019 and she’s been on a 4 week trim schedule since. Artimud was used to clear up the white line disease, other than that, no special treatment was done. She’s doing fabulous and re-growing in her strong hardy Canadian feet.
